Jack's Story

Jack is a book worm - literally. Specifically, he is an earth worm. He loves to read books and knows almost everything. He believes in science and will risk anything to achieve his goals. He lives in Fremont, California. Jack is very active right after it rains.

It has been pouring for three days straight, but today, tuesday, is the day it will finally stop. Jack saw that there was no more rain and excitedly wriggled in a leftover puddle. He was enjoying the crisp air and was bathing in the puddle when, suddenly, a child stomped into the puddle! Luckily, the child did not step on Jack. Jack had a sense of urgency and struggled to crawl out of the puddle. Then, splash! Thump! Ow! The child stomped into the puddle and squashed Jack. Jack spasmed and tried to reform his shape. It took three days to get back to his regular size. Now, he is healthy and back to reading more books. His goal is to move faster so that he can avoid someone's foot next time!
